As important as supporting local charities is to us, tragedies like the earthquake in Haiti remind us that our real community extends well beyond the borders of Charlotte. In additional to donations from our own pockets, we’re happy to report that Cowbell Challenge is making its first international donation to help the relief effort, and we know that other cyclists and volunteers will do the same. Social media proves its worth in times of humanitarian crisis—the easiest way to donate is to text HAITI to 90999 to donate $10 to the American Red Cross. They’ll just add $10 to your phone bill, but the funds are released immediately to help those in need.
